Diablo 3 Monk

One of the playable characters on Diablo III game, the Monk class is a direct opposite of Barbarian class. This holy warrior of God is very quick to attack but quite fragile when hit. It is advised to all players who use this class to focus more on combination-based melee attacks to better employ the Monk’s swiftness in attacking opponents. Though the Monk class uses martial arts fighting for dispatching adversaries, they also simultaneously protects himself and possibly his allies by using Holy Magic to strengthen his defensive, debuffs and offensive skills. Many game players speculated that the Monk class possesses abilities similar to Diablo II Paladin’s Auras.

Skills

Most of the Monk’s offensive abilities are quite unique as each one of its ability was grouped into 3 attack types and are used in various stages. By making use of these “stages”, the Monk can effectively make various combinations of attacks. When you trigger the Monk’s skill in Holy Magic, you will see a rune around the area where the skill will take effect. As evidence by its holiness, the color palette of these runes is a combination of blue, gold, silver and white.

Skill Tiers

The Monk’s skill tree is currently unidentified. We will just named them as A, B and C.

Skill A

Force Without Thought

The effect of this skill is to automatically counteract your enemies’ attack without interrupting your own normal attack flow. When you dodge, you will automatically counter your attacker for 10% of your normal weapon damage.

Seven Sided Strike

The effect of this skill is to dash at your enemies and succeedingly strike six times for 50% of your weapon damage.

Inner Sanctuary

The effect of this skill is to create a protected walled area on the ground which enemies can not be able to get through for 6 seconds.

Way of the Hundred Fists

This skill is a 3-part attack. First, the Monk uses the dashing attack; which deals 100% weapon damage to an enemy. Then quickly get 6 punches in for 8% weapon damage and finally blast all enemies near him for 85% weapon damage.

Skill B

Crippling Wave

Another 3-part attack skill. This skill will first give 50% weapon damage wherein the enemy speed movement will also reduced by 50% for 2 seconds. The second part will deal another 50% weapon damage, the enemy damage will be reduced by 25% and will take 25% more damage from attacks. The final part gives 60% weapon damage and refreshes debuffs on all target enemies.

Exploding Palm

This skill is in 3 parts. First one hit will give 35% weapon damage and the second hit will give 50% weapon damage. The third and last hit will make the targeted enemy bleed for 7 seconds – dealing a 60 points damage. When the target moves it will cause 200% more bleeding damage. If target dies, it will explode and will damage nearby enemies.

Skill C

Impenetrable Defense

This skill will make your weapons turn into a strong shield for a short time which will rebound all enemy ranged attacks and will grant 100% dodge against the enemies’ weapon attacks.

Radiant Visage

This skill will blind the nearby enemies within 20 feet for 2-4 seconds. If you attack, they will fight back with reduced hit chance.
